Harvia Sauna Sensor – Smart intelligence for any sauna 🔥

Harvia is once again taking the sauna experience to the next level. The MyHarvia Smart Sauna Sensor is now available, turning any sauna into a smart sauna — including traditional wood-heated ones.

The wireless Sauna Sensor connects to WiFi and the MyHarvia 2 app, allowing users to monitor temperature, humidity, and sauna usage in real time, anytime and anywhere. The app estimates heating time and notifies you when your sauna is ready. It also detects irregular heating behavior — for example, if the door has been left open.

One particularly interesting feature is its compatibility with wood-burning stoves. The app lets you know when it’s time to add firewood, helping you maintain optimal heating. No more accidentally letting the fire die out — the app reminds you at just the right moment.

The data collected by the Sauna Sensor also helps you understand how your sauna behaves under different conditions. Over time, this enables energy optimization and predictive maintenance — for example, estimating when it’s time to replace sauna stones.

The technology behind it

SADE Innovations has worked together with Harvia to build the Harvia Sauna Sensor solution end-to-end — from device design to cloud services and the mobile application. The solution includes not only the device itself, but also a high-temperature battery solution (with a lifespan of approximately 3 years), user interface, WiFi connectivity, and an AWS-based SADE Booster cloud backend enabling real-time monitoring and analytics. The user interface is provided through the MyHarvia 2 mobile app, allowing users to easily control and monitor one or multiple saunas — for example, a Harvia Fenix heater at home and a wood-heated sauna at the cabin.

The result is a subtle but powerful addition to the sauna experience — technology that doesn’t interfere with tradition, but enhances it. Once again, a real-world customer case where SADE Booster proves its strength 💪
