đ SADE Innovations & AI at Yrityssaloâs Tech Lunch!
At Yrityssaloâs latest Tech Lunch, the spotlight was on AI and its potential in business. The event brought together local companies to explore how AI can streamline processes, create new business value, and open doors to entirely new applications.
The event was kicked off by Markus Laine from Yrityssalo, Jaakko Anttila, CEO from LINK Design, and our own CTO at SADE Innovations, Tero Nordström. The agenda featured insightful presentations, AI demos, and plenty of engaging discussions. đ€đĄ
Teroâs presentation, "Large Language Models (LLM) â Beyond Traditional Business Logic," focused on how AI â particularly large language models (LLMs) â are becoming an integral part of our projects. Where complex automation and data processing used to require massive amounts of code, today we can leverage AI models via APIs and integrate them seamlessly into larger systems â working under the hood, behind the UI. This makes AI easier to use, and faster to develop & easier to update.
As Tero put it: "AI technologies like machine learning and large language models are playing an increasingly bigger role in our projects. Today, we can integrate existing models directly into systems. This allows us to process both unstructured and structured data â and even images â transforming them into exactly the kind of information we need, in exactly the right format." đ€Żđ
Tero demonstrated a fun and concrete example of how LLM technology can be used to reshape data. Letâs give AI a photo of a croissant đ„. Traditionally, a computer would only see pixels. But with large language models, we can interpret the image content and convert it into an entirely new format â for example, into a structured JSON recipe complete with baking instructions!
At SADE Innovations, weâve built multiple AI-powered solutions â both for our clients and for our own internal needs. We also have several new AI-driven applications in development that weâre really excited about and just canât wait to share! One example of our in-house AI development is LaskuBOT (=âBillBOTâ), an automation tool that streamlines our monthly billing process. LaskuBOT is built on Gemini 2.0, but since we design all of our AI-powered systems to be model-agnostic, we can easily upgrade it to a newer Gemini version â or even switch to an entirely different model, such as OpenAI, Claude, or DeepSeek. This flexibility ensures that we can always use the best available tools without heavy re-engineering. đ€Żđ
High-level summary? AI is no longer just an experiment â itâs a real business tool that drives efficiency and unlocks new innovations. At SADE, weâre already running multiple AI projects, and there are plenty more to come!
