Patient satisfaction through cooperation
When three Finnish guys meet in Zagreb, Croatia, the first thing that comes to mind is not that they´d be there because of an enhancement project of a remote diagnostic platform for health care. But that´s exactly what´s going on!
Marko Lähteenmäki, CEO of RemoTest Lausuntopalvelut, clarifies: "RemoTest offers remote analysis services for health care; in practice, we enable investigations that are traditionally carried out only in special health care available also for primary health care. Our customer gives the patient our device for the needed investigation, for example an ECG machine, and the software system that the Software Sauna team has made for us then takes care that all the data from the device is delivered to our medical expert for analysis. Our medical expert writes the analysis to the same system, and our customer uses the analysis when treating the patient. Our service has been up and running for almost three years now, and we constantly make improvements to it, of course. As such, there is nothing new in our operating model, but to be able to cope with and grow in the midst of the ongoing health-care reform requires a lot -- both from us and from our partners. Software Sauna, the developer our software platform, has its HQ here in Zagreb. That´s why we are meeting here now 😊. SADE Innovations, based in Salo, Finland, for their part, offer the needed CTO services for the development of the software, i.e. the management of the project development and project backlog. "
Ilkka-Cristian Niemi, CEO of Software Sauna, adds: "It´s great that Marko from RemoTest and Henkka from SADE were once again able to come here to Croatia to meet us. Usually we communicate only virtually, so being able to meet face-to-face every now and then is really important for the whole team. Especially now, when we are specifying a new functionality to the RemoTest platform, that is going to be the biggest development project after the very first MVP back in the day". Henry Lockmer (Henkka) from SADE Innovations agrees: "We were able to make a really good backlog of the requirements for the team, and this backlog will serve as a really good basis to proceed with and to fine-tune for many months to come. After workshopping a couple of days face-to-face, the understanding of the needed resources and the schedule of the roll-out of the new service model is now on a totally different level than before" 💪.

"Working with the experienced developers from Sauna is easy, and the CTO management from SADE brings in not only structure and overall technical project management in the longer term, but also very well working practices to organized day-to-day development and follow-up.", says Marko from RemoTest. And it can be clearly seen in all their operations that their priority is to listen to their customers and improve their services based on customer wishes and needs.
