SADE Booster expands into the defence sector – co-funded by the EU
Boom!! 💥 SADE Innovations has been awarded a €50,000 development grant by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre), co-funded by a European regional development programme. The project focuses on extending our SADE Booster technology to serve the needs of the defence and public safety sectors. This is a clearly defined new application area where we leverage our already validated platform in a strategically significant context. With over 100,000 devices connected to the SADE Booster cloud, we are now taking the capabilities of our solution to a new level of operational requirements.

The project develops a defence- and authority-compatible version of the SADE Booster IoT Asset platform. The goal is to enable a secure and agile path to creating field-ready applications that serve both civilian and military needs. The platform will support real-time situational awareness, sensor data collection, and critical asset tracking – even in decentralized and disconnected environments. 🛰️🔒

The SADE Booster Dual Use solution will support integrations with military-grade command and control environments such as CIVTAK/ATAK and the SitaWare Suite, while also preparing for compatibility with NR+ mesh-based sensor networks. The result will be a field-deployable, commercial-grade software platform that can also be used by other defence-sector startups and SMEs – both in Finland and across the EU. 🇪🇺

This year, we will build the first field-ready Dual Use version, designed to integrate with defence systems. At the same time, we are building the foundation for commercialization. Importantly, this is not a conceptual trial – the new SADE Booster version is a concrete, commercializable extension designed to serve defence forces, authorities, and international system providers. The project represents a clear continuation of our strategy to shift towards recurring business in the defence sector, while also acting as an enabler platform for other Finnish SMEs seeking faster access to defence markets.

This is definitely a project worth following – and we warmly welcome you to join us in building the next generation of defence technology! ✨
